THE BLESSINGS OF LIVING IN A SMALL TOWN, LOL!!!

First off thanks to everyone for all of your love and support. I thought I would give everyone a update on where we are at with my mom. We got the results from her MRI and its kind of confusing. The Dr. said the swelling from the injections and from her bulging discs added with a abnormally small spinal opening at the bottom of her spine is cutting off normal circulation to the lower part of her body. I guess it puts lots of pressure on those nerves therefor causing major pain.

He fells like he can get the swelling and pain under control here and they well get her blood level where it needs to be for a spinalcord stimulator implant. She is still in tremendous pain. I think she will be there for a few more days. He said they would get the stimulator in probably in a couple of weeks.

Thanks again for all of the prayers.

Pray for my mom. 9-5-08

I can't sleep. I hope my family won't kill me. I figure I would let those of you who check the blog know what is going on with my mom. We pretty much had another wasted day at the hospital. The computers were down and they couldn't do her MRI. They finally got the computers back and said they would do it at 7:30 tonight.

We thought the Dr. was going to be there to put her out cause she is in to much pain to hold still. He wasn't and she couldn't hold still so they were not able to do it. They called the Dr. and he will be there 7:00 in the morning to put her out and try again.

There have been lots of calls wanting to know what's going on. We are greatful for all of the love and concern. We have know idea really what is happening. She is in so much pain after having a epidural injection. It's so hard to see her the way she is. My dad has been there all day with her. She hadn't slept all day because of the pain. They have her on major pain meds and they are not touching the pain. The Dr. says he feels like something is really wrong either something floating around in the spine or something popped again. We won't know until the MRI. We pray that it shows up. He says if there is anything out of the ordinary he well air-vac her to Berros Neurological.

As far as visitors the nurse tonight still said they really don't want anyone there because the less she try's to visit and move around the better. Thank you again for all of the love, concern and prayers. Please pray with us that they find something on the MRI. I will post again when I know something new.

Wow 11 years! 9-5-08

OK Ryan is going to kill me. First of all he is not a fan of cheese so I'll try not to get too cheesy. Second of all he is so embarrassed of my grammar, punctuation, and spelling. But those of you who know me know it's just the way I am.

Today we have been married for 11 years. I just wanted to tell him thank you for making everyday an adventure! Thank you for my beautiful children, and thank you for being such a great husband and father. I can't believe I love you more than I did 11 years ago.

All girl Slumber Party at Grandma's!

So we had a Birthday party for all of the September birthdays while we were in Snowflake. Becky and I decided to let the boys stay at her house and the girls with me at Grandma and Grandpa Brewer's. I think Becky had it easy! Just kidding the girls had a blast and they all just get along and play so well.

Playing with there gifts.

I don't know if I should be proud of worried! The girls were playing truth or dare and McKenzie was the first to take a dare.

Marisa wasn't far behind showing her talent.

Kadee, Kenzie, and Marisa showing each other how much they love each other.

Brett and Hailee having a face off!!

Marisa having to hold her eye's open buy the end of the night! Pretty sure this is how we all felt!

Not sure which one is worse!

I don't know what is worse. Mascara all over the face or crayons in her ears! Ryan was up early Sunday morning with Rebecca and caught her in my makeup again. The crayons I think were a result from having double ear infections. I think they were pretty itchy.

It's not like we just spent all summer in Snowflake! My kids couldn't wait to get back up north to see Grandma, Grandpa and as they say the cousins for Labor Day. From the minute we pulled in Grandpa Brewer had the kids on the 4 wheeler. This is Tessa loving every bit of it. The weather has been beautiful and its just been none stop fun for the kids.

I'm so lucky to have such a awesome dad.

Laney and Tessa!

Tessa's new best friend! They don't get to see each other very often, but you can tell they love each other. Tessa got a kick out of Laney playing pick-a-boo!
