Crazy weather!

So those of you who live in Arizona have experienced the crazy Monsoons. The other night we were getting ready to put the kids to bed. When we turned off the lights it looked like a rock concert outside with strobe lights. So we took the kids out on the balcony to check it out. It was amazing. The lightning wasn't striking down, it was striking across the sky, just completely lighting it up.

The next morning after breakfast I ran the kids upstairs to make their beds and do their chores. They came right back down begging to splash in all the puddles. How can anyone who experienced splashing in puddles as a child resist such a sweet request. We ended up at the park behind our house. As gross as the water looks I could only resist for so long. The kids had a blast and it all washed off!
I love pictures like this. I swear it wasn't staged. They were all to scared to go in, so they decided to hold hands and go together. Of course the fear comes from all the scary shows that their dad lets them watch.
Still not to sure about it.
Tessa loved it.

Rebecca pretending to be a monkey.

Mason keeps exploring. He thinks he saw a crocodile!

McKenzie didn't want to pose, she said she didn't have time to comb out her rats!

Hailee ended up to her shoulders.

Tessa still loving it!

Anyone for mud wrestling?

Who needs the Beach?

My kids have been sick for the last few days, so they were bored to death. They wanted to go some where or do something. So Ryan threw them in the pool and told them to hold on. He was going to make tidal waves. Sorry about some of the pictures they are pretty blurry. I had my moms camera and didn't know how to set it to action.

The calm before the storm!

Katelee decided to sit this one out with mom and Tessa.

Those are white caps!

As you can see Ryan had a couple of tubes on jumping as hard as he could. It was hilarious to watch.

Ryan throwing Mason.

Mason coming up for air.

Mason trying to get him back!

Hailee and McKenzie loving every minute of it!

The dogs felt a bit left out!

This is our sweet Harley. She love to swim with the kids.

So goes the life at the Haueter house. Cheep entertainment!

Monkey toes!

I remember a story my mom told me when I had McKenzie. She said when my brother Brett was born and my dad was looking him over. That Brett stretched like newborns do, but my dad thought something was wrong with him because his toes were like fingers. Needless to say all of my children have these long stretchy toes!

I think she saw me picking things up with my toes while I was pregnant.

O'ya and yes she was trying to color like this!

This is something you will probably get tired of seeing. This is one of our favorite things to do. Everyone helping mom with dinner!

If you ask Mason he is already a professional Chef!

Friends, Frog and Fun

So those of you who know me know I'm a pretty good procrastinator. This whole blog thing I hope will help me over come it. Thursday night (this is what I mean when I say procrastinator)I was at my friend Becky's house. She was showing me a few tricks of blogging. When I was leaving I saw this big, shiny, green beast jump across the road. I called Becky and told her I would come back by and grab her and the kids. Garrett, her eight year old son, made my night. It was fun watching him try to catch that slimy thing. I ran home and grabbed the kids so they could see what Garrett caught. We are all still recovering from the warts.

Mason's Baptism!!!

Here we go!

Mason's baptism, wow where to start! His dad baptized him and did such a great job. We are so lucky and grateful to have a worthy priesthood holder in our home.

Mason was baptized with one of his good friends Garrett Norris ( Becky Sherwood's son) What a cool thing. Becky and I have been great friends since Jr. high.

I new this day would be full of emotion. Mason wanted himself and his sisters to sing. We had been practicing When I am Baptized all week. They had it down pretty good but none of us were prepared for what happened. As soon as they started singing you could tell that Mason was going to loose it. I thought its over he's done. Ryan and I tried not making eye contact with him thinking it would make it worse. He was bawling and instead of quiting he kept singing, in fact he got louder. He truly understood the words he was singing and felt the spirit so strong. Needless to say there was not a dry eye in the room. We are so proud of the decision he made to be baptized and the covenants he has made. He is such a special boy and a great example for his sisters, we are blessed to have him in our family.

We were blessed to have my family and Ryan's family here from Utah to support him. Thank you to all who helped make this day such a special day for all of us and hopefully one that Mason will always look back on and remember the spirit and love he felt.

We are waiting for pictures from Ryan's mom and dad but until then this is the best picture of the whole family.

It was fun to have the Wilson Brats there with us!

We couldn't keep Rebecca out of the pictures!

As you can see this was just after the song.

Rebecca with Grandma and Grandpa Brewer

Me with my beautiful girls.

Rebecca's done! She is ready for bed.

I'm not sure they will survive without each other.

Aunt Becky made this fun board to surprise Mason. It was fun to see all the goofy pictures. Thanks Aunt Becky.

What a couple of great looking guys.
